Do you want to start making money using eBay? I know that I do -- well, I did want to as of a few months ago.

I have been on eBay for years. I started using eBay to find sports memorabilia. There was so much on eBay that I couldn't find anywhere else. Then, one day, while I was browsing for a baseball jersey, I noticed another baseball jersey (that I wasn't really interested in) that was available for very little money. I wasn't sure why, but for some reason it just hadn't gotten many bids. I had seen jersey like this before that were sold for 2 or 3 times what this exact same one was going for.

Many blogs won't make any money. Alan Meckler and Weblogs, Inc.’s take is that 99.99% of blogs just aren’t going to make money.

That may be true for a few reasons:

* Most blogs are designed to spread a message not sell something

* Many blogs are designed to push traffic to an existing website to make a sale

* Blogs that do attempt to make money often fail because blogs were never designed as an ecommerce solution

Starting and making money with a mail order business is easy and inexpensive.
However, there are three things of absolute importance that must be considered before you begin.
The first consideration is your product, then there's your capability to advertise and finally you have to have a handle on your operating costs.

One of the most profitable and easiest products to sell via mail order are short,
no-nonsense reports and folios that guide or instruct other people in how to make
money. Reports such as this one.

Look at it this way, the majority of the people in the world are looking for a
"magic method" of making money without putting forth too much effort, time or
money. You write or buy the reproduction right to 100 different titles - titles
that appeal to these people looking for that "magic method" to riches - circulate
a list of these reports, priced at $2 to $3 each, and you've got yourself a real
gold mine! Sell a thousand copies of each of these reports each year, and in 10
years you will have made a million dollars or more! It's easy - it's being done
every year - and you can do it too!

Advertising is the life-blood of any mail order business - for a direct mail
enterprise, it's the mailing list. But with an honest mail order business, your real profits or losses will depend almost exclusively on your advertising.
Classified ads are the safest and simplest way to get started. Regardless of what you're selling, the best way to drum up business is through what is known as the "two step" approach. Advertise a "loss leader item" such as: FREE REPORT!
$50,000 a year profits with a spare-time business from your home. Details for SASE to : (Your name & address).

Start out by running this ad in as many of the mail order publications as you can afford, keeping your costs as low as possible.
When you receive responses from these ads, simply take one of your one-page "How-To" reports and slip it into the
self-addressed stamped envelope that you received, along with a listing of your other materials you have for sale - see our enclosed list of other money making reports - and along with an order form showing your address - send it back out to them.
With this kind of plan, you'll be building a mailing list which you can rent out or sell as soon as you've accumulated a thousand or more names. Renting and/or selling mailing lists of people who have responded to your ads can be big money
for you - all by itself - simply by renting or selling the same list over and over to different people.

At the same time, you should clip off the postage stamps from all your incoming
mail. When you've acquired a shoebox full of these stamps, you can sell them.

Save the envelopes - you can sell them to just about anybody. The same thing holds true for your "filled in" order coupons. Save them, and when you've
acquired a box-full or more, ask around and see who wants to buy them from you.
In many instances, these little extra-money making efforts can keep you going.

So, you've received a number of SASE in response to your ad for a free
money-making report - the report that you send out should be a one-page or two page report that pretty much describes how a person could take an idea and make
an unlimited amount of money, if he has initiative to put it into action. This is your "giveaway" or loss leader item - what you use to set the stage for presentation of your catalog or entire inventory of reports.
Generally speaking, out of the total number of people sending in for your free report, and to whom you included a complete listing of all your other reports, you can expect about one third of them to send in another order for other reports
from your list. This is where you'll start making money, and why this approach
is called "two-step" approach.

This is how you should put the free report together Top page) A full page
advertisement selling a book or business plan Second Page) A complete listing
of the other reports you have available such as our enclosed list of reports...
Third page) The report they ordered... You could then enclose a couple of
coupon-sized "ride-alongs" for other offers or order forms to buy other things
from you, such as mailing lists. If you can handle print & mail services, you
might include a coupon for that.
Basically, that's all there is to getting started with a profitable mail order business... Selecting a product that sells: How To Reports - Advertising to
pull in a list of interested buyers, and following up with your catalog: Your list of money making reports - and finally, a good handle on your operational costs.
If you own a photocopy machine, a printing press or a quick print shop - you've got it made and can make an unbelievable amount of money almost overnight.
If you don't own a photocopy machine or a printing press, and cannot afford to either lease or buy one, then your best bet would be to shop around and come up
with a working agreement with someone or a shop that has one of these machines.
Have a copy shop or print shop run you off a supply - if at all possible, a thousand copies of each report. You then agree to give or allow your "printer"
25 cents from the sale of each report that you make. You could total your sales and square your records at the end of each month, every 90-days, six months or once a year. Remember, if you sell a thousand copies each of 100 different reports over 12-months, you'll be talking about a gross income of $100,000 - and that could all happen from your initial press run or inventory supply.

To make it all as simple and effortless as possible, either buy, build or have built, shelving to fit in your garage or basement to hold your inventory. Simple
shelf space with slots for 100 different reports is all you'll need. Then when the orders come in, you simply pull the report orders from the shelves, slip them into an envelope with your pre-printed follow-up offers and once a week, drop
them off at the post office.
Relative to fulfilling orders - you've got to ship whatever it is you're selling within 30 days from the date you receive the order. If there's some problem that keeps you from fulfilling the order within that period of time you have to notify
the customer of the delay and give him the option of getting his money back. The only ads that allow you to slide through that 30 day time limit are those that state specifically that the customer should allow x-number of weeks for delivery.
Prompt shipment of the customers' order within a couple of days after receipt, will also build your credibility and image with your customers - resulting in more sales down the line for you. You should be able to allocate your time to
handle such a business on a part-time basis - in addition to your regular job - until the orders start rolling in. When that happens, you may want to hire some "contract help" or perhaps quit your job and devote all your time to it.

Well, basically, setting up a blog means that you are creating a little space of your own on the Internet where you can make posts about anything that interests you. Of course, if you are going to be blogging on a variety of topics, the best way to make money with it would be to have different blogs for different topics otherwise your blog will be just one big jumbled mess that nobody would want to read about.

So what topics should you blog on? Well, I would suggest blogging about your own interests or favourite hobbies. There are always people out there who could learn from your specific experience.

Let's say for instance your favourite passion is your love for dogs. You could blog about anything pertaining to dogs. Do you know how to potty train a dog in a week? Lots of people would love to know how to get their dogs not to do their potty work inside the house :) Or do you have a recipe for a dog biscuit that your dog absolutely adores? There are lots of people who absolutely adore their dogs - I am one! And they do a lot of searches on the topics of dogs, cats, puppies, kittens etc. So why not make some money out of sharing your own knowledge to help those people? Share your tips with them and they will just love you for it!

So, how would you make money out of having a blog even if you don't have a product to sell? One word: Adsense. Adsense is a program offered by Google that pays webmasters and blog owners to display Google ads called Adwords on their sites, and if you have a blog that gets many visitors, they will click on the ads which means that you will earn money from it. Some tips before you apply for the Adsense program:

1. You have to have an existing blog or an existing site.

2. Your website has to have at least 10-15 pages of relevant content. If you have a blog that you want to apply adsense to, you have to have at least 5 or more posts on your blog.

3. Your blog or site must have a clean, easy to use interface. No under construction pages or broken links, or too many animated gifs, or pop ups.

4. You don't have to have a professionally designed website or blog. The simpler your site is the better for the search engines to spider, and the better it will be for your visitors to navigate.

How to get a blog? You can either have blog that you can host at your own website, like Wordpress Wordpress is an easy to set up php script that is free for download.

Alternatively, you could use any of the free blog services like: Blogger to set up a blog that will be hosted on their server.

So to recap: Select a topic that you would like to blog about, set up a blog, make a couple of posts a day on your blog, wait about 5 days, then apply for the Google Adsense program.

Once you have been approved for Adsense, you should submit your blog or website to the major search engines. If you don't know the major search engines, do a search for "free website submission". You will find that there are a lot of sites that will allow you to use their services for free to submit your site or blog to various search engines.

Their are various blog directories that you should also list your blog with. Once again, do a search for blog directories, and submit your site to all the the ones that you can find.

Tell others about your blog, your family and friends etc. Ask them to tell others about your blog. That way you will start getting instant traffic. Just a word of caution: do NOT ask family and friends to click on your adsense ads, and under no circumstances should you click on any of the ads yourself - that is a sure fire way of getting banned by Google and you will have lost a valuable income source!

An affiliate link is a special URL code that will identify customers coming to the company's site from your advertising. It will likely be the website address with a code attached to the end.

Internet Money Making Crazes - The Lesson Of The Storm

Get Paid To Autosurf programs once offered an easy way of making money on the Internet. The surf for cash programs boomed during the year 2005. The golden era of the get paid to surf programs is over and the next money making Internet craze is bound to be just over the horizon.

Autosurfing started out as a means of Internet advertising. You would sign up to a surfing website and, in return for you viewing websites belonging to other members, you would receive credits entitling you to have your website viewed by other members. Actually, you didn't even have to watch the sites: as long as they kept loading, you would earn your credits even if you went away to make coffee or feed the dog.

In late 2003, Studio Traffic, the biggest and longest running get paid to autosurf site was launched. In addition to autosurfing to advertise your website, Studio Traffic offered you the opportunity to pay for upgraded membership which would entitle you to earn 1% of the upgrade fee every day for a full year. For each day that you surfed at least 100 websites, you would earn your 1% and you would get paid at the end of each month.

The rapid growth of Studio Traffic encouraged other entrepreneurs to set up similar get paid to surf sites and the programs were extremely popular. By December 2004 there were about 40 get paid to surf programs running. These programs mostly offered members a return of 1% daily but there were a few sites paying 2% and even up to 5%.

Then a company called 12 Daily Pro opened and offered a previously unheard of 12% daily return. Nobody really expected 12 Daily to survive for more than a few weeks but it did and as time went on it showed no signs of weakening. The success of 12 Daily Pro caused many people to take up autosurfing purely as a way of making money. By mid 2005 hardly any surfers really cared about advertising on autosurf for cash sites, all they wanted was to get paid. 12 Daily's success made easy for new companies to convince people they could sustain unrealistically high returns. By early 2006 there were over 370 autosurf for cash programs and most of them were offering a return of more than 2% daily. There were companies offering outrageous returns of 24% and even 55%.

In February 2006 came what has become known as "the storm" when a payment processing company called Stormpay destroyed 12 Daily Pro and ended the autosurf for cash boom. The details of the storm are well documented, so I won't repeat them here. The broad outline is that Stormpay insisted the surf for cash companies must move all their cash over to Stormpay immediately and use it as their only payment processor. Once they had all the money, Stormpay blocked all the accounts so none of the surf companies could access their accounts to pay their members. Then Stormpay (after earning many thousands of dollars from transaction charges) called in the SEC and claimed the autosurf for cash companies were in breach of SEC regulations. There are more questions than answers about the storm. Some of the top unanswered questions are: "Was Stormpay secretly bankrupt and created this mess to hide the fact?" and "If the autosurf companies were acting illegally, why did Stormpay insist on taking over all their transactions instead of distancing itself from them?". The very top question is still "What happened to all the millions of dollars Stormpay took from surfers?". Stormpay is no longer a licensed payment processor.

A handful of honest surf for cash companies survived the storm but they had to struggle hard to keep going. At the same time, new get paid to surf sites were being opened just about weekly and closing down just as regularly. Some of these companies failed through poor management but many were outright scams on the part of owners who scooped up as much cash as possible in a short time and then did a vanishing act.

Surfing for cash was an easy way to earn money on the Internet. There was always a degree of risk in surfing for cash: a return on your money was never guaranteed and there were a few crooks running dubious surf sites but, in the end, it was human greed that killed the industry. If people had been less greedy and a little more prudent in their investments, the cash would not have been drawn away from the more sustainable 1% and 2% paying autosurfs, 12 Daily Pro would not have found such fantastic success, Stormpay would not have been able to grab millions of dollars from surfers and surfing for cash would still represent a small branch of Internet advertising.

When the next easy money craze comes into view, will people remember "the storm" and exercise caution? Unless there has been a dramatic change in human nature, the answer is no and hoards of desperate ex-surfers will be paddling out to meet it.

-- What is Elance?

Elance is a website forum, a marketplace that allows people from all over the world to actively participate in buying and selling their products and services. As a freelance writer you can offer your writing services with very little effort on your part. If you can surf the web, use email and generally communicate in English (yup, it’s the principal language used on Elance) then you are pretty much good to go.

-- How Does It Work?

It’s quite simple; Elance is a subscription based website that charges you a small fee to become a member. At the time of writing basic monthly subscriptions begin at $30. Once you’re registered you can browse all the active (open) projects and bid on the ones that interest you. As a member you can even set up a personal store front (profile) and showcase your products and services to potential buyers (and it’s not unusual to get direct enquiries from buyers this way.)

-- If Your Bid Is Chosen

If your bid is selected you will get the chance to decide if you want to proceed with the project or not. If you decide to go ahead then you and the buyer enter into an agreement (Elance provides templates and samples at no charge.) You provide the services to the buyer and the buyer pays you what they promised – simple.

Elance gets a small commission on all projects that are awarded. But don’t worry, there is no cost to you for winning projects – that’s the buyers responsibility and the buyer will be billed directly (it doesn’t even come out of the agreed project payments!)

-- So How Much Work Is Available To You?

That’s a good question; after all if you are going to spend at least $30 a month on a basic subscription, you really need to figure out if the subscription is worth it. The number of open projects varies, however it’s not unusual to find between 150 and 200 writing projects available at any given time.

-- And How Much Are These Projects Worth?

There are currently two types of project postings on Elance: BASIC and SELECT. If you have only chosen a basic membership then you can only bid on Basic projects. You will need a Select membership to bid on the select projects.

And the reason you would buy a select membership is simple – select projects pay more, are less likely to end without being awarded (yes there are people on Elance who post projects to “get a feel for the market” and have no intention of actually awarding the project!)

So back to the main question – how much are the projects really worth? Again, this data varies over time (I cover this and more in my new report on www.ElanceExposed.com), however here’s a quick ‘rule of thumb’ that I’ve found to be fairly accurate: If you multiply all the number of open projects by $250 and multiply that again by 70% you will get a fairly good idea. For example, 200 open projects X $250 X 70% = $35,000

-- But What About the “Big” Projects?

There are big projects on Elance, they get posted infrequently but they are available. As you might imagine these projects are usually posted by companies – not people – and they usually pay 5 to 10 times what a regular project pays. With this kind of payout you can imagine the competition is quite high, however pitching to a business is not the same as pitching to a person.

-- What About Gotchas And Other Issues?

There aren’t too many. The biggest one that springs to mind is that Elance currently does not offer a refund policy on their subscriptions. You actually have to get on board and sign up to get a feel for the Elance market. And to be quite frank, you really need to give yourself a fighting chance and sign up for three months.

If you signed up for a three month Select membership you would currently pay $150 USD. That’s not a huge amount of money, but it is a bit steep if you find out that Elance is not for you.

Many people are saying that the internet is dead. So is there
still money to be made on the Internet?

The answer is a definite YES.

Research shows, time and again, that consumers want to spend
more online, and that the internet is fast becoming an integral
part of their lifestyle and it'll continue to be so. Internet
consumers are cautious and they want sites that are credible and worth shopping before they part with their money.

The traditional brick-and-mortar rules of business still apply
to internet business. It's prudent to remember that the internet is not your business goal; it's a medium in helping you achieve your business goals.

Adhere to my following Rules and you'll be on your way to
building a viable, sustainable and successful internet business.

1. Develop a viable business plan

The biggest reason why so many dotcoms failed is an inadequate
business plan of how and when they will achieve profitability.
To have a successful and sustainable internet business,
developing a viable business plan from the outset is crucial.

Your plan must have a clear and sincere vision that has meaning
to you and your business. Your main focus should be to 'plan to
profit within a set period of time' and this would require you to allow time for thoughtful researching, planning, execution and testing. You'll need to test out your business model first and ensure that it's viable and sustainable.

Don't make the same mistakes that many dotcoms made - trying to
build a global brand before their business model even worked as
it'll lead you into receivership faster.

Regardless of how fanciful and good your website is, if your aim is not to make profit, you'll go out of business.

2. Model someone successful

It's always wise to learn from the mistakes of other people
rather than to learn from your own mistakes as this can sometimes be very costly and painful.

Track and learn from benchmarked success stories, be they your
competitors or otherwise. Why would you want to spend time
re-inventing the wheel when you can learn from those who have
already been there and done it successfully. Learn how they
design their website, create products, write salescopy, their
sales process, etc.

3. Focus on a niche market

Don't be everything to everybody by trying to dominate a huge
and general market because you just simply can't do it
effectively.

Focus your internet business on a targetable portion of the
market or a narrowly defined group of potential customers.
Address the need for a product or service that's not being
addressed by mainstream providers. The advantage of this is that it's less competitive in such a market as large businesses won't want to be in it.

For this to be effective, the market niche that you're targeting must be fast moving, its customers accessible and there mustn't already be a dominant player in that particular market niche.

The key here is to find a niche market, assess the needs of the
market and then offer them your products and/or services that
meet their needs.

4. Differentiate your business

To capture a larger market share and be viable, sustainable and
profitable, you need to differentiate or distinguish your
business from your competitors; make your business special in
the eyes of your customers and/or prospects.

You can do this by creating what's called a Unique Selling
Propostion or USP and then effectively convey that USP to your
target market via your marketing efforts and business performance.

This's particularly crucial if you're operating in a highly
competitive market.

A USP is the one thing or idea that sets your business favourably apart from your competitors. Think about these questions: "What's the one thing that makes your business unique and distinct? Why should people buy from you and not from your competitors? Do you promise great value, benefit or service?"

Your USP is the focal point around which the success and
profitability of your business is built and so you must be able
to state it and fulfill it honourably and effectively.

5. Spent your funds wisely

Costs is one of the major determinant of your internet business's survivability. You'll need to carefully track and control your costs from the outset and make sure you can start to show a profit soon, as unmindful spending with no thought given to incoming resources will bleed you to death.

Credible websites not only require money to set up but also to
maintain; advertisement costs money. Driving traffic to your
website where you lose money on sales made is suicidal. Do your
sums; consistently refer back to your vision to ascertain whether an expense is warranted or meaningful.

6. Superior customer service

In addition to a viable business plan, a superior customer
service will be key to your success.

Superior customer service must be a high priority in your action plan. Build a trusting and long lasting relationship with your customers and prospects, send your staff for customer service training, fulfill your orders promptly, and constantly remind yourself the reason of your very existence.

This is crucial as it costs five times more to win a new customer than it costs to keep an existing customer. Moreover, a dissatisfied customer will tell, on average, five or six people about your bad service. The point I'm driving at here is that looking after your customers saves money and boosts profits.

Learn and apply what I teach you, do it right, and you'll rise
above your competition and blow them out of the water in no time.

To Blog or Not To Blog: While Making Money Online

One of the biggest crazes associated with making money online these days centers around blogs. Only in the last year or so has web-logging or “blogging” (a fancy way of referring to an internet diary which can be make public) really been a major way of communication on the world wide web. Its initial intensions were to provide internet users a place to share their feelings, opinions and ideas. Of course, everything in the world these days that starts out simple with good intensions becomes tarnished by the desire to make money. I hate to admit it, but I am not an exception to this rule, either.

I became an internet marketer about 7 months ago and like most affiliate marketers, my roots began through reading eBooks. Many of the recent “updates” to these money-making programs focuses on using blogs as a means of an inexpensive (free) place to create landing pages (pages which you link your potential customers to in order to promote your product).

There are three main ways to promote products:

1) Promote products by directly linking to the seller’s website. This is fairly competitive these days.

2) Create your own landing page by having your own website.

3) Create your own landing page by having a blog or using a free website.

I have tried direct promotion with little luck in the past. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is irrelevant and Pay-Per-Click (PPC) services (like Yahoo Overture and Google Adwords) is very competitive. This is because services like Adwords will only allow one sponsored URL per search. High niche keywords and unique keywords are required to even compete (and be seen) if you plan on having a modest advertising budget. A landing page is much more successful and easy to promote, in my opinion.

Do you create your own website or use a free website, like a blog? Let’s review the pros and cons of creating a blog (versus your own site).

Blog Benefits:

1) Cheap: They are free! Creating your own website requires you to pay for domain names and monthly hosting fees.

2) Little to no web design experience required. Excellent templates and designs already available. Creating your own website requires some technical expertise or additional fees in paying someone to do it for you.

3) Flexibility to create your own unique, content and ad-copy. Same with creating your own website, just broader.

4) Excellent for Search Engine Optimization. Blog sites such as Blogspot are linked with Google, which improves your probability of high, free search results.

Blog Cons:

1) Lack of flexibility of design. You are usually constrained to the templates and designs that are offered by the site.

2) Possible sponsored ads on your site that you do not get paid for. Blogspot allows you to add your own advertising, such as Adwords, but most require that they place their own ads.

3) Some free sites and blogs disallow your own domain name. This creates ugly, non-memorable website URL names. The free sites that allow unique domains names usually delay its activation by months.

4) Not professional looking. This may not be a bad thing, depending on the type of product you are promoting.

5) Lack of vistor track-ability. Being able to trace links, clicks and visitor statistics can be very critical to a successful campaign. Blog and free sites may not provide the accessibility to install tracking code.

The Verdict:

I have done both free blog and creating my own website in the past and I have found much more success with your own website versus a blog or free website. Being able to track my visitors can be extremely useful. I spent the time to learn web design and now, adding new content to my site can take LESS time now than with a blog. Price-wise, a domain and host can cost less than $10 per month. While I was able to make money through my blog, sales almost TRIPLED with my own site.

While I promote making your own website, there are definitely benefits to having a commercial blog. Specifically, the SEO of a blog can be rather powerful! Ideally, my best suggestion is to create your own website that sells your product while creating and maintaining a good-content blog that links two-way links to your site.

Newcomers to internet marketing inevitably have one burning question: "What is the fastest way to make money online?" In this article, I shall attempt to answer that question.

There are many different methods of making money online, but only a couple of methods are truly fast. Building websites designed for Adsense or affiliate revenue take time, but are more likely to guarantee a solid future passive income. Likewise, creating one's own product can be a lengthy process but, if marketed correctly, stands to make a small fortune in a small time once completed.

The fastest way to make money online for a newcomer was, is and probably will remain through the use of Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising. Using this method, the marketer signs up for a popular PPC service such as Google Adwords or Yahoo Overture and simply writes a small ad which is loaded with keywords. Every time the advert gets clicked by a search engine visitor, the marketer will have to pay an undetermined amount of money (although it is possible to set a daily spend limit).

The marketer should aim to create a landing page which promotes an affiliate product for a good commission. If the commission for the product is, say, $40, and your landing page can convert 2% of visitors to purchase the affiliate product, then you are looking at $80 per 100 visitors. Therefore, if you can pay under 80c per click, you have turned a profit.

It's far from an easy game, and requires intense focus, discipline, testing and tracking. But there is absolutely no doubt it is the fastest way to make money online in the clustered world of internet marketing.

You too can build a money making site from home, that will earn you extra money for that vacation you want to take, for that car you need to purchase or those inflating credit card bills.

First step: you need to pick a Niche market. What is a Niche market you may ask? It is a topic that is more focused, and does not take the general aspect of a topic. You want to pick something that is out there, but is focused so you can get up there in search engines and build traffic to your site.

Want an example of a Blog with Niche Marketing?

Mesothelioma Info and Updates at http://mesotheliomainfoupdates.blogspot.com. This site taylors to Mesothelioma, a rare disease caused by Asbestos, and the site goes in depth about the Niche Market of "Peritoneal Mesothelioma". Asbestos would be more of a General Blog without Niche marketing, while drilling down to "Peritoneal Mesothelioma" is a niche market.

Another example of a blog that is not Niche Marketing is the Domain Names and Web Design Info blog at http://domainnamesatretail.blogspot.com. Once you pick one, go to http://www.google.com, and search for that term and see how many results show up. If you have less than 1 million results, then that is ideal. Now take a look at the current #1 spot. See their page rank and how many links they have. If you think you can outrank them, then you are good to go. Target that keyword with your Niche market, and your site research is done.

Once you have the research complete, you set up a blog or web site.

To Set up a blog, go to one that I use Blogger at http://www.blogger.com. Set up your blog and begin posting in no time. This is a good and quick setup for getting your site started and getting searched by Google. However, your own site with its own domain name and hosting, tends to come up higher in search rankings. In today’s world, life gets more difficult and more complicated. Working for locally offline for a company and for money is going from bad, to worst. Such local difficulties are making both eccentric and goal oriented people to look for other income streams other than their regular 8 to 5pm jobs. Many are going for the online marketing dream- the Internet. Many people have seen the possibilities of making an excellent income online, both full-time incomes and part times. I am proud to say that I am one of those persons that is currently making a full-time income online. Either by selling eBay tangible items, self-help books and how-to information.

Before you go in full to the Internet marketing exciting quest, I want to point out to you the elements that are of incredible lack in people went trying to make an income solely from the Internet. Many years have passed and the below elements are the ones that people are weak for making it online with a full-time income.

Both online marketer’s and newcomers struggle to make a full-time income online because of:

1) Mind conditioned- Still in this days, I find the process of people that are trying to make a change from working in a J-O-B to make an enthusiastic switch, to an investment in business. 4) Discipline- Perhaps the one I am now solving, I did struggle with this a lot, but heck, who else does not? A lot of online marketing prospects are weak in this area, I was too. If we just correct this important life proactive habit, even as small business online marketer, it could be easier for achieving success. Then fortune 500 companies and million dollar companies will have to battle a lot to get in their position online with us as the expert marketing minds. No joke. Discipline get things done, without it, having money work for you online, is a bit more complicated. We just need to create a discipline habit.

5) Goals- You are probably tired of reading and hearing from this one, however, do you follow this element by the day? In other words, are you one of those persons that wakes-up in the morning and does not know what you are going to wear for the routine job or perhaps for the weekend date? If this is you, this is a lack of goals. You need to have goals for every single day, if you don’t- it will be just another day that time will tell what you can do, and you won’t be in-charge to decide what to do with your own time.

If you are weak in one of the above elements, do whatever it takes to get stronger at them. Successful people are in-charge of every single one of the mentioned elements, and not only that, such successful people have a proactive mindset for following every single routinely day with every element. Let’s cut to the chase and answer the question “can the average Jane or Joe really make money online?” Before I can answer that we need to establish what we mean by money?

If you’re asking if the average person could find a way to make an extra $50.00 a month working online I would say yes that should not be too much of a challenge. If you’re asking if the average person could build an online money making business to the point where they could replace a good full time income I would have to say no!.. Let me explain why I say that and then latter I will talk about your options. At the very least if you read the rest of this article it could save you thousands of dollars by stopping you from making some mistakes.

If you do a Google search on making money online your going to see that today there are 277,000,000 website ready to give you the information you need to turn your dreams into reality. If you search for articles on just one of a hundreds article sites, “Ezine articles” about making money online you are going to find there are 27,000 articles written all with a solution on how best to build an online business. So getting back to the reason I answered the question “ could the average person build an online money making business to the point where they could replace a good full time income” no… You can see that the average person would have no way of sifting through all the rubbish included in the 277,000,000 websites or 27,000 articles to find the best ways to achieve their goal of making a full time income online.

Come on be honest, how many of those 277 million websites have you already looked at? Some of those sites are just plain garbage and most of them are affiliate links to the few hundred marketing gurus that have the market flooded with information, software and online money making idea that all promise the way to the golden nugget. Don’t get me wrong we use a lot of these strategies and software packages to build our online businesses, but we also spend thousands of dollars and thousands of man-hours to keep up with what works today and will continue to do so in the future. My question to you is would the average Jane or Joe be able or willing to spend that kind of money or time… No it takes an above average commitment to pull this off. That’s not to say the people that don’t make it are stupid or lazy, it just means that the cards are stacked too much against success so that the average person does not have a chance in this game.

So what does that mean, do you just shut off your computer and be content to the fact the odds are so stacked against you that it’s not worth trying? Only you can decide if you have the means to invest thousands of dollars a month and commit fifty or sixty hours a week or more to build your business. I know that’s not what those 277 million website say… they all make it sound so easy. What they don’t tell you is the product they are selling you today probably is not as effective as is it was when they discovered it and definitely won’t be tomorrow. The truth is some of the software still being sold as the answer to your dreams won’t work at all today. You think the gurus take down their websites and stop selling their software just because the Net has changed to the point where it is ineffective? No they stop selling it only after people stop buying, has little to do with the fact that it doesn't work as good as it did last year or even six month ago.

The funny thing is the better it did work the higher the odds that is doesn't work now. One good example of this is the many popular software programs that mass produced web pages based on Keywords. This software worked great when it was first introduced, but the Search engines had to find a way to stop their effectiveness because the top search results were being flooded with these spammer sites. That is one of the biggest challenges to running an online business... investing enough money to stay up to date with what is working today. Do you have what it takes to make money online?

Considering that the great Studio Traffic had been running for nearly two years when I made my debut, I was a latecomer to the get paid to auto surf scene. Don't Expect To Earn Fast Money Online

I've spent the last three years working towards actually earning
money online. In most of that time period though, the money has
been leaving my wallet faster than it has been coming into my
wallet.

"EARN MONEY FAST OPPORTUNITIES"

In my first year online, I tried all kinds of "earn-money-fast
opportunities" --- everything from MLM to turnkey websites. I
hate to admit this, but if I didn't make any money the first
couple of months after I had signed up for one of these programs,
I just gave up and moved on to the next opportunity.

Then I would begin the whole process all over again. I found a
new site that promised to all who joined, that they would earn a
lot of money fast, and they would earn their money without hard
work.

I know the truth now, it was just another line of bulls**t!!!!

Twelve months later, all I had to show for my first year online,
was many wasted hours and lots of wasted money.

THE MAKING OF A WEBSITE

As I began my second year, I realized that I had to make my own
website. I didn't know anything about HTML. And, I knew nothing
about where to find a hosting company, or even why I needed one.
So the first six months of that second year, I was learning the
basics of how to become a webmaster. I read through all the
forums about web-mastering and SEO that I could find on the
Internet, and tried to build a website that finally could make me
some money.

I finally got my website up and running.

For the first 8 months that I had my website, I did not earn any
real money for all of my hard work. The worst thing that could
happen to a person began to happen to me... I began to lose hope.
I began to believe that making money from the Internet was just a
far-fetched dream that I could never attain on my own.

I was not alone. Hundreds of thousands of people have met or will
meet this same crossroad in their Internet careers. Some will
take the easy road and walk away from their dreams. Others will
push on, not willing to let their dreams die.

I decided to push on.

I added new pages of content to my website every week. I
exchanged links with other websites as often I could. Slowly and
steadily, the visitors were starting to come to my little corner
of the internet to browse and buy.

In the early stages, I had 30-50 visitors each day. Then, I began
to see 100-150 a day. And soon, the first small amount of money
was earned through my website.

Now it's 4 months after my first payday, and the traffic is still
getting higher each week. Even though I'm not earning a whole lot
of money now, I believe it's just a matter of time until I can
leave my day job.

THE FIRST LESSON LEARNED

Looking back on these last three years, I have learned a few
things that I would like to share with you today.

First of all, you should never join any of those scam sites that
claim you will make a lot of money fast without working hard.

The cold, hard truth is that there is no way that you can make
money online unless you are willing to work hard!

The next time you read about an opportunity where the promoter is
telling you that you will not have to work hard to be successful,
Stop! Stop and ask yourself "how hard this person is working" to
part you with your money?

What about that email opportunity you are reading, where this
anonymous person is telling you that you will not have to send
other people email in order to make money? If he is being honest
with you about the nature of his business, why did he have to
send you an email to get Your business? If his way is best, why
is it that he is not practicing what he preaches?

You have to approach new programs with your eyes wide open! Be
willing to read between the lines to see if the promoter is lying
to you to part you with your money. Be willing to research on the
internet what other people have said about the program that you
are looking at. Be willing to discover and separate the people
who are trying to sell the program, from the people who are
giving you an honest appraisal of the program, from the people
who are just complaining about everything to hear themselves
talk.

In the end, it comes down to this. If you get involved with one
of the myriad of scam opportunities floating around out there,
you will end up spending all of your money with zero rewards in
your pocket for your time or effort.

THE SECOND LESSON TO BE LEARNED

Find a niche product to sell or promote. And then make your own
website. If you don't know anything about how to become a
webmaster, use Google to find forums about the subject. Or, you
can buy a ebook about web-mastering.

Don't expect to earn much money the first year your website is
online. Look at it as your learning period. Be persistent and
don't take any shortcuts. It takes time to build a money making
business, whether you make your business online or offline.

And finally, try to have fun while you are working on your
website. It's much easier to become successful if you like the
work you are doing.

4) Thinking of raw idea. After you have done your study, think hard about the solutions you want to your problem. Then stop and relax. Get a cup of coffee or go for a movie. 5) Refine your raw idea until it's up to your satisfaction. You can always do your own research on the raw idea by asking questions to target market to test the feasibility of the idea and how to improve the idea further.

Basically new idea is a combination of old ideas. You need to have enough old ideas to come up with new ideas. That's why constant reading and observation are important.

Sometimes when someone has launched a new product, you would say, "Hey! I thought about that before. That's my idea." You might have had thought about the idea but you didn't capitalize on it. Someone has done it before you.

It's always good that you have an ideas book. Whenever you think of a good idea, write it down. You can always work on it or improve it later. Bring along the ideas book wherever you go. It doesn't need to be fancy. It can be a normal pocket-sized spiral notebook.

Home-based businesses are cropping up everywhere you look. People have decided that being their own boss is the way to go. There are thousands of advertisements, junk mail, and email saying you should start your own home business today!

But should you really start your own home business? Should you be your own boss? What are the risks to operating your own home business? What are the rewards? How many people are successful at operating their own home business? How do I get started? Should I be answering all those ads that say I am missing the opportunity of a lifetime?

These are some of the questions you may be asking yourself every time you see an ad about starting a business from home. In this article, I will try to help you answer them

Let’s start with that first question, “Should I start my own home business?” The answer to that question is different for everyone. If you hate working nine to five and hate working to make other people rich, then owning your own business might be your answer.

If you have some business skill, it helps, however, you do not need to know more than the basics about running your own business. You have to keep several things in mind. Depending on the type of home business you will be operating, do you have the room for it at your house?

Do you have a separate space where you can do your work without the normal everyday distractions of being at home. The children, your spouse, the TV, the yard that needs mowing and other things are all distractions that can cut into your workday. Also, understand you will still have to work every day. That doesn’t change just because you now have a home business.

The bottom line is you need to plan before you make the move to owning your own home business. Make sure it is what you really want and that you are ready to do what it takes to be a success.

The second question is much like the first, “Do I really want to be my own boss?” If you are self-motivated, if you are the type of person who learns fast. if you are a confident type of person, then the answer is yes. If you lack those qualities, then your answer may be no.

Again, that question is something only you can decide and it also depends on the type of business you choose to run. If it is a service oriented business you might have an easier time than with a sales-based home business if you are not the outgoing confident type of person.

Self-motivation is the one quality you can’t do without if you plan to start your own business, whether it will be a home-based business or something else. You will be the one that has to get you out of bed every day and you will be the one that has to tell you to get to work.

What are the risks to operating your own home business? They are several. You should not start your own home business right AFTER quitting your day job. Until your home business starts making money, you are likely going to have to keep your current job while building your home business.

Again, though, the risks are greater for some people than for others. What are your finances? How much is your monthly overhead? Is your income already stretched to the limits? A single person has a head start. A spouse who is not already working also has an advantage over the main breadwinner in starting a home business.

If you are currently working part-time and it costs you almost as much to go to work as you are making, then you may as well take a shot at owning your own business. It isn’t likely to be worse than continuing to pursue a dead-end job.

What are the rewards? The rewards of owning your own home business are many. If you have a family, even though you still have to work, knowing you are home and close by is a comfort to them. Not having to commute back and forth to work is another plus. The gas and vehicle maintenance you save should be considered your first profits in your new home business.

The freedom of being your own boss is another reward. Knowing that it is you who will be making the decisions, who will be responsible for it’s success, and that it is you who decides everything is reward in itself. Too many times when working for others, we see a better way to do things, but no one listens and you don’t have the power to make it happen. In your own home business, you will be making those decisions.

The money is the other reward. Why I say, “other”, is that it isn’t as important as the others. Of course you want your business to be successful and it has to make money to be a success, however, if money is your only motivation, I would still say you have less chance of succeeding then many others who are not solely money-motivated.

Choose something you truly like or love to do for your home business. Do it because it is what you want to do. Don’t choose the type of home business with the amount of income it will generate as the only or most important factor to consider.

If you choose something you love to do, it will be easier to motivate yourself and you will obviously enjoy it so much more. When you combine that with the other rewards, such as being close to your family, then the money becomes secondary. At the very same time, you will also find that is the path to making more money. Because you chose something you like to do, you worked harder at it, and now you are making more money. That is how it works.

The last question is, “How many people succeed in their own home business?” My answer is, “Exactly the same number of people who chose to do something they enjoy.”

Get paid for your opinions - Participating in focus groups and other market research doesn't provide regular income, and there are often limits on how often you may participate. However, I've got lots of opinions, and I'm always happy when I can get paid for them! I've been paid for opinions on music, clothes, and even the scent of a laundry product. You can increase your chances of getting selected by registering with market research companies. Check your phone directory or the local mall to find one in your area.

There are also many places online where you can get paid to write opinions or reviews, or to fill out surveys. Make sure you understand how you will be paid before spending a lot of time on this. Many sites pay in credits that can only be redeemed with them, but some pay in cash.

Get paid to do your own thing - When you can make money doing something you love to do, it doesn't feel like work at all. My main career involves speaking and writing, both things I enjoy. I've also been paid for my opinions, made money as a mystery shopper and been a movie extra! Use your imagination to find ways to make money while doing what you enjoy. There also many investment programmes if you search carefully and all of these programmes really offer good interest rates for the amount you invest. But as lucrative as it can get, it is also as risky as it can get. They will not be responsible for any loss of money.

Some programmes are really genuine. They have reliable ways of earning therefore really able to offer you good returns. And if it is so, this would be one good way of making money on the internet. Mostly could be scams which offer returns as high as 200% and required you to invest only a minimum small amount. It could be a ponzi therefore only able to pay you initially. But when you invest more, it might not be able to pay you. Or it will not even pay you back at all in the first place.

For such programmes, one really got to research carefully on the company and see whether it is reliable and stable to stay long term. Those who have chose the right companies to invest really gain alot from them. Some would even said investing in such programmes is like playing stocks. You got to choose the right companies. But at least in the stock market, you own part of the company and there is always a possibility the value will rise more than when you acquired the shares or you can sell it if you are able to, to recover some loss. For this, all the money you have invested could be gone for good.

A lot of people would wonder what the difference is. Are we splitting hairs? Isn't it the same thing regardless of what you call it? Actually, no. There is a very big difference between working at home or building a home based business. In some areas there is overlap, but for the most part there is a big distinction between the two.

A work at home is just that, a job. This is where you get paid a certain amount of money, either hourly or salary for doing a particular job from your home. This is often referred to as telecommuting. Common telecommuting jobs would be data entry, typing, Internet research and web design.

For example. Let's say you head on over to Monster.com and find a telecommuting job for web designers. You send in your resume and they hire you. They will then contact you with an assignment. XYZ company wants to have a web site designed for high school students. They send you the specs and tell you when they expect the job to be completed by. They will also tell you what you will be paid, whether for the assignment itself or for how many hours it took you. If hourly, they'll make you fill out a time card and send it to them.

That is an example of a work at home job. There is no overhead, no advertising expenses, you're paid for the work you do and most likely you'll get a 1099 at the end of the year so that you can report all the money that you made. The only difference between what was described above and an office job of the same type is the location from where you're working.

A home business is something quite different. For starters and this is the most important difference, you're not paid for the work you do. Yes, you may ultimately make some money and hopefully a lot of money, but there is no guarantee of payment. You're putting in the work you do in the hopes of being able to make some kind of income from it. You may ultimately decide to start your own web design business and do the same kind of work that you did at the job but here is where the two are quite different.

In starting your own web design business, nobody is going to give you an assignment. You have to advertise your business and let people know that you are available to do custom web design. You'll put up a web site, do some advertising on the Internet at a number of places and then sit back and hope you get a few emails with requests for work. You will then have to tell your customers what your rates are, how long the job will take and then finally get the specs for the design itself. You are in charge of and responsible for everything.

There is of course a plus side to running your own home business as opposed to working a job at home. With a job at home, there is only so much you're going to earn. With your own business, while you may make absolutely nothing, there is a very good chance if you promote regularly and work hard that you can turn your business into a very lucrative income.

Does the thought of making $3000 a day blow your mind? It used to blow my mind too. Now it’s just a number that needs to be attained to reach a higher goal. Anything less than $3000 a day means a longer period of time before you make one million dollars.

$1500 a day, then its going to take 2 years. $750 a day? That’s 4 years. But the important fact is that the more you stretch your mind with an outrageous goal, the more sane a lesser degree of stretch seems.

So how do you do it? How do you make $3000 a day? There are three ways.

1. Sell one $3000 product

2. Sell 3000 $1 products

3. Do a combination of the two.

1. Sell one $3000 product. How do you find and sell something that will give you $3000 profit every day? Well in order to profit large, you must usually invest large. So in order to make a profit margin that large you either need to have a substantial amount of money to invest right off the top or you must locate a product that someone else sells and earn an affiliate commission by selling that product to other people.

While this is possible, it seems a daunting process to me to be able to replicate this each and every day on a regular basis. But it is possible, I just don’t know how yet.

2. Sell 3000 $1 products, the power of duplication. (Or 6000 clicks at .50 cents:-). Now this one is a little easier. There are a lot of things that we can sell that will make us $1. We just need to find 3000 buyers on a regular basis. While of course we can find a $1 product and then hope for the best, but this leaves a lot to chance. We could look for a product that has 3000 searches a day at wordtracker, something like exercise equipment and then build a web page to sell the products of another company as an affiliate. That’s what I did since my day job was a personal trainer and I knew the topic. The only problem is that there are 89,900,000 other people that had the same idea. So it is not a daily guarantee. It is however money in the bank towards a goal.

3. Do a combination of the two. The real power of duplication. This was my best approach. It left me secure and allowed me to make a million dollars in an easy and relaxed manner. I didn’t have all my eggs in one basket, and so I never stressed the process. I knew that weight loss programs are big business and I spent most of my day as a personal trainer, so I created the best program I could to help others lose weight fast and put it into an ebook. Now I had the mid range product. I knew there were at least 32,757 searches a day for weight loss, so I know I had the people.

Now lets say for some reason I don’t get the whole 32,000 people knocking on my door. Sad I know, but lets be realistic. Seo can be long and slow and quality articles take time to write. I needed some help. I needed the power of duplication. Enter clickbank.

I may not have been able to reach 32,000 people organically, but an army of clickbank affiliates sure could! With many clickbank affiliates selling for me, the power of duplication was in full force. I had effectively cloned the marketing machine of my website. Add in the adsense on the supporting article pages of the weight loss site and the combination of the two and you have enough money to invest in some real estate. But that’s for another story.

Is this fiction? Yup. Then why did I write it in the present tense right? Well, because the funny thing about the mind is that it tends to believe what it is told. I know this from years of personal training. People will only start to lose weight when they believe it is possible, when they stop thinking of themselves as fat. You and I will only make one million dollars when we KNOW it is possible, when we stop thinking $18/ hour. The best way to make a plan to attain a goal is to reverse engineer it. Start as if you have already attained the goal and then work your way backwards through the series of steps that got you to where you wanted to be.

Adsense is a program offered by Google that pays webmasters and blog owners to display Google ads called Adwords on their sites, and if you have a blog that gets many visitors, they will click on the ads which means that you will earn money from it. Some tips before you apply for the Adsense program:

1. You have to have an existing blog or an existing site.

2. Your website has to have at least 10-15 pages of relevant content. If you have a blog that you want to apply adsense to, you have to have at least 5 or more posts on your blog.

3. Your blog or site must have a clean, easy to use interface. No under construction pages or broken links, or too many animated gifs, or pop ups.

4. You don't have to have a professionally designed website or blog. The simpler your site is the better for the search engines to spider, and the better it will be for your visitors to navigate.

How to get a blog? You can either have blog that you can host at your own website, like Wordpress Wordpress is an easy to set up php script that is free for download.

Alternatively, you could use any of the free blog services like: Blogger to set up a blog that will be hosted on their server.

So to recap: Select a topic that you would like to blog about, set up a blog, make a couple of posts a day on your blog, wait about 5 days, then apply for the Google Adsense program.

Once you have been approved for Adsense, you should submit your blog or website to the major search engines. If you don't know the major search engines, do a search for "free website submission". You will find that there are a lot of sites that will allow you to use their services for free to submit your site or blog to various search engines.

Their are various blog directories that you should also list your blog with. Once again, do a search for blog directories, and submit your site to all the the ones that you can find.

Tell others about your blog, your family and friends etc. Ask them to tell others about your blog. That way you will start getting instant traffic. Just a word of caution: do NOT ask family and friends to click on your adsense ads, and under no circumstances should you click on any of the ads yourself - that is a sure fire way of getting banned by Google and you will have lost a valuable income source!
